This workshop-style training will give organizers an understanding of the moral philosophy of militant nonviolent civil disobedience, real-time tactics, and the infrastructure necessary to support movement leaders who risk arrest. The workshop will be led by Rev. Osagyefo Sekou, who trained as a teenager at the Highlander Center and was tutored in nonviolence by Rev. Dr. James Lawson. Sekou has helped train more than 5,000 activists in nonviolent resistance throughout the United States.
